Commitment period for subscription plans

Some subscription plans include a commitment period. This means you pay monthly, but you agree to keep the subscription for a minimum number of months.

The commitment period is shown before you complete checkout. If a plan has a commitment period, you will see the number of months and the date the commitment period ends.

How it works

When you choose a subscription with a commitment period, your subscription starts as a regular monthly subscription. Your payment is charged each billing period according to the subscription plan you selected.

During the commitment period, the subscription cannot be cancelled from your account. This is because the plan includes a minimum subscription period.

After the commitment period has ended, the subscription continues automatically until you cancel it. The commitment period does not cancel the subscription for you. It only marks the earliest date when you can cancel.

Example

If you choose a monthly plan with a 6-month commitment period, you pay monthly for at least 6 months. You cannot cancel the subscription during those 6 months.

When the 6-month commitment period has ended, the subscription keeps running month to month. You can then cancel it from your account. If you cancel, your access normally continues until the end of the current billing period.

Where to see your commitment period

You can see the commitment status and end date in your account under your subscriptions. If your subscription is still inside the commitment period, the cancel option will be unavailable and the end date will be shown.

What happens after the commitment period ends

After the commitment period ends:

  • You can cancel the subscription.

  • Your subscription continues automatically if you do not cancel.

  • Your regular billing period continues as before.

  • Your access continues while the subscription is active and paid.

Can I change my plan or course?

Some subscriptions allow plan or course changes from your account. If this is available, the option will be shown on your subscription page.

Changing a plan or course does not automatically cancel the subscription. Always check the details shown before confirming a change.

Why do some plans have a commitment period?

A commitment period is usually connected to a discounted or structured subscription offer. It helps keep the monthly price lower while making sure the course can be planned for a minimum period.
